I think Vodafone will have it. They are a very large provider and will be able to take a lot of handset off SE's lot.

Most of us would like the P990 to be available in Q4 2005.

However, the official news from Sony Ericsson is Q1 2006. I guess we just have to wait up till next year bro.

"The phone will start shipping during Q1 of 2006."

How first quarter of 2006 is anyone guess.

I think realistic (and NOT optimistic ) estimates put it's arrival at late March and possibly April. This seems about right to me; I really can't see SE rushing to get this phone out considering the amount of testing they'll have to do to the new platform.

I personally think they should take their time a little, I'd rather that when it did come out it was relatively bug-free, and software was available for it!

Personally I also believe SE were rushed into announcing the P990i due to the leaks over the internet a few weeks ago. This leads me to believe Q1 2005 is somewhat optimistic!

Nope, it won't be able to use UIQ 2.1 software. Unfortunatly UIQ 2.1 software is incompatable with that of UIQ 3.0

(Means I have to set up a whole new section on my site, which I'm in the process of doing now. Even though there isn't actually any freeware released for it yet )
