> Which phone should i buy P910i or N70?

Why is everybody saying 'wait for the 990' and 'the p910i is outdated'?
I just got a 910 last week, upgraded from a k700i (great phone) and it's blown me away. Mobile internet, up to 1gb cards supported, great games, third party apps galore, video / mp3 playback, synching with outlook, touch screen, full keyboard AND handwriting recognition.....I'm sorry but the 910i rocks, and although a year old (or more) is far from outdated. To those stating thus, I ask this - what MORE do you actually want from a Phone? What could the 990 have that is so much better you would consider forking out for one, when I just got a free 910 last week? I'm all for new gadgets, but sometimes the cost outweighs the benfits. And the 990 has a smaller screen. And no Jog Dial, I beleive,(CMIIR) one of Sony's best inventions that I though disappeared with the CMD-J5 / Z5.

@andymac, I completely agree, like you I upgraded to a P910 just a couple of weeks ago (from the P800) and I'm more than happy with it. The P990 adds 3G, wifi, and a better camera - of which 3G and the camera I might use - but I wouldn't consider upgrading to it for another year, when it's cheap or free like my P910. Apart from anything, it'll take a year for the bugs to be shaken out and the UIQ3 apps list to get impressive anyway. Until then, the P910 will continue to be the FAR better buy, assuming you can get one.
I must admit I had a little difficulty finding one in stock (a couple of shops tried to tell me it was discontinued) - but I was determined not to get stuck waiting to pay an arm and a leg for the 990.

Admittedly the camera is no better than the k700i's, which is alright-ish at best, but there's a thread for 910i camera pictures around here somewhere and the results are looking quite good. My wife's just got hold of one of them new-fangled 550's and the camera's much better.
O/T - anyone wanny buy a z600 or k700i? (UK Only)

oops...
Sorry for banging on then....but you can judge the 'phone from our enthusiasm!
Mine's an o2, only available free online, with (I think) minimum £20 spend a month.Peanuts. And there's no external branding on the phone, just the usual o2 active menu shortcut that I don't think will bother you too much, and a couple of pre-installed screensavers.

4-7 days battery life?! If you leave it in a draw at home maybe. If use the phone sparsely, use the PDA functions merely to check for appointments and maybe play a game for 10 mins then I end up recharging it every day or every other day. I think the battery life is quite poor.

There's obviously something wrong with your phone - your battery may be out of condition. Four days battery life is easily achievable in my experience, and that's with plenty of phone use, PDA functions, and regular (short) bursts of music playing.

All this talk about the P910i and its successor the P990 makes me want to buy one. But then the applications that make the phone really a worthwhile investment do not come pre-installed.
Now my problem is that I live and work in Nigeria, each time I (and most of the people I know here) try to buy software online we get rebuffed on the grounds of being careful about foreign transactions (Not that I blame them).
The question therefore is; can I get free P910i application downloads? If yes, where?
Or is there an online dealer willing to take a risk?
Until then, I'll make do with my trustworthy SE T610i
