Nope, it isn't. Strange that it has an audio-in 3.5mm jack but no audio-out! So technically it works like the CDS-60 with speakers as you can sync & charge, but without audio out.

More info. The weird ticking noise I reported earlier only occurs when the AC adaptor is plugged in. Will contact Brando about this and report their feedback.
The phone will power the speakers directly without the AC adaptor...
As for what it sounds like - I've now got it standing a couple of feet away and it sounds great. I'm playing Jeff Waynes War of the Worlds via my K750i and it sounds as good as any small speaker system I've tried so far with either my K750i or iRiver H340 MP3 player...
AND - its a MUCH BETTER stand than the SE CDS-60.
