£400-500... its gonna be expensive
Where did you get that price from? I assume you mean for a sim-free P990
On contract I would expect it to be a hell of a lot cheaper - you may even be able to get one for free if you convince your service provider!!!

I agree, I paid nothing for my p900 2 years ago, and £30 for my p910 last December.

I paid nothing for my p910i last month.
phoned up orange (i already have a contract with them) told them vodaphone offerd me a contract for £10 a month the same as the one i was using (£45 per month) and the phone for free.... Orange matched the offer and gave me more txts.... You just have to be brutal when you call them. Make out like you want to leave the contract, then when they ask why give them some phoney contract on another network, that was agreed over the phone, and then see how fast orange match it...

of course he means sim-free! have you ever heard of a phone costing £400-£500 with a contract?! i would be surprised if the P990 was free even with a contract for at least the first three months it is realeased. unless you take out a top end contract in the region of £50 a month. The P series phones have always fetched a premium so expect to pay a bit even with a contract when it comes out.
