yeah, so that you can send it to a company that will tell you the name of the song. They only need 5 seconds worth to compare it against their song database

Hmmm......easier to write a Java app, than to try to dissassemble firmware(to extract TrackID) - if we could do that, K800 could have Walkman2.0, etc....

Note: The Windows PPC I received recently can record radio(no time limit)....it also records answermachine messages for you(saves loads on voicemail charges):
