aha, i see. yeah, its logical what u say, butwhy not to put cams in a umts device to enjoy all advanced features given by the system? i have to admit, that i choose "3" cos of fast internet and cheap prices, dont make that much video calls, even, i would miss that cams in a umts fone.

There has been a lot of talk about a business orientated 3G handset with push email capability by SE.

The phone will compete with P990 for business users who have no need for wifi or for camera and walkman features. While this phone supports the same range of media formats (aac,mp4 etc) , it uses the micro MS card format. These cards are expensive and memory capacity will need to be dedicated to business use for anyone not able to purchase the super expensive micro cards. If the phone comes with 128MB micro card, then to have enough capacity to use as an mp3 player on top of business needs new owners will need to also buy a 256MB or more micro card as well (expect 2GB cards to be $1000 AUD or much more). Atleast with a pocketpc you can buy dirt cheap sd cards, or even the K750 has an advantage here (as a media player) as you can use much cheaper duo pro cards.

The M600 is small light and simple in comparison to the P990.

So my feeling the phone will have strong business appeal, and replace the P910 as the default business handset. The P990 will continue to be strong in business, but will also have a market amongst smartphone enthusiasts generally.

For myself, I'd have to take the P990 over the M600. A camera is a necessity for me on a phone, and I'm not interested in a phone whose memory expansion is cost prohibitive. Also, the wifi is too useful for a techhead like me to ignore (screw both bluetooth and gprs for serious wireless data transfer)

Hmm.. Yes. Should appeal to the Blackberry crowd - it almost looks exactly like one.

"Slim touchscreen phone for style-conscious professionals"

It is very, very plain looking isn't it? I dont think that "style-conscious professionals" would use anything so plain and boring.

But the features are great, typically form-follows-function.

M600 - for the 'girls'

P990 - for the 'boys'

@jcwhite: Thanks bro... They look awesome and should fit quite snugly in the hand...the only problem I see is the keyboard layout which is quite confusing with two letters occupying the same key....seems like there'll be a lot of toggling involved for those who hate using the stylus.
