sorry kabuki, di ko alam benta mo DSS mo
nagtanong kasi ak before sa my st francis, benta 500, ask ako sa isang shop sa GH benta 850, susmaryahosep!, then napadaan ako dito sa isang shop sa loob din ng GH, benta nya 350, tawad pa ako kaya lang ayaw nya.
may tanong ako..
1. is CAD36 the same as CID?
2. ano yung red and brown file na nabanggit kanina? nawala ako dun ah.
3. paano ba gamitin ang dss-25 using ME for a K600i? na-install ko driver, kabit ko usb sa port, kabit ko phone sa dss, ilaw SE logo, pindot ko SE file manager, pero di nya detect. ano ba mali ko? di ko kabit power
kabit ko mini-usb, pindot SE file manager, detect nya.

brown flashes = developer flashes. eg beta (?)
red = mainstream. gold releases

i downloaded the usb driver for DSS 25 from SE and installed them. i then connected the dss usb to the usb port of the pc, connected the k600i with the dss 25. the SE logo at the dss 25 lit up upon connection with the cellphone. then i clicked the SE file manager to see if the phone is recognized. but alas, it wasn't detected. the i connected the mini-usb (the one included in the package when i bought the phone). i clicked again the SE file manager the the phone was recognized. that's the only time could put files from my pc to the phone.
did i made a mistake? or somehow, i still need some programs/drivers?
BTW, how could i know re: brown/red files in my phone? or, is it in the phone?

have you tried using another phone (T610/K700) on the cradle? could be the DSS itself
if you have the right DSS-25 drivers (not the one off davinciteam.com) and the K600-compatible PC Suite installed, it should work flawlessly. what version of Windows are you using? If it's 2000/XP, try computer management > device manager > universal serial bus controllers > DSS-25 > right-click > uninstall. then plug it onto a different port and reinstall the drivers. if that doesnt work, try it on another computer. pag ayaw pa din, try another PC. if that works, something is wrong with your Windows. otherwise, alas, it's your phone. wag naman sana. lol

my k600i is my very first SE
and i loving it again after the sound was fixed woo hooo.
one of my nurse has a Z1010 brought by her husband from KSA. it has a nice red color, but i still prefer my k600i overall. it only has a VGA camera and 2MB memory though it has memory card. we tried to BT a 3MB video but the z1010 cannot accept it becasue of low memory. probably, the z1010 initially saves the file to the internal memory and not directly to the memory card.

Z1010 din yata old ericsson-style connector (aside from the mini USB connector?), im not so sure. if they are, try it on your DSS-25 and see if SE File Mgr can browse through the file system
