From the past: it was maybe 7-9 years ago when I read one news about Nokia. I remember one sentence, where was told that Nokia plans to introduce at least one mobile phone per year. Good old days!

It would be nice if

were like Apple and release their products following the annoucement.
But i agree with some of the comments, its taking far to long for the phones to come into the market....Im getting tired of waiting for the P990 now...I checked with CPW yesterday and they told me that the release date has been pushed yet further.
realisticly the actual problem is that they show there upcoming phones very early, i mean imagine if you never saw the spy pictures of the upcoming phones or ever heard of any announcements of new phones coming from SE then this will never happen about people complaining about how long it is taking them. I agree with axxxr, they should do like what apple are doing is to make the phone, test it and so on and when the company (SE) thinks its ok for it to be released on the market then they should publish the pics everywhere on the net as it is happening now except in tihs case the phones are not ready to be released yet.

The only reason the p990 was released so early, apart from the delays, is that the pictures for it were leaked by certain people when it was in it's early stages, so SE had no choice but to release it. Same probably goes for some of the other phones on the coming soon list.

At least we know the phones will come out ...
Also it is only a good thing that

last year se announced the p990 but before it saw the light of day o2 made the atom with almost identical features & released it. the atom is a sell out in some places. o2's gain is se's loss. se is desperately trying to beat nokia at the number game, who has more handset models. a dumb move i say.

It is a pain to wait but I think I have settled for W810 and no other company will deter me. I have always had Nokias but I think I am ready to change now, too many creaky handsets and slow smartphones, i want a phone that feels good and is easy to use.

waiting for announced

phones to be released in the market is like waiting for a baby to be born: it gets announced as soon as its conceived, then you have to wait for a long time (i.e. 9 months) before you see it!
but i think it's well worth the wait...

@vrl, lol, in that case the p990 has gone way beyond it's incubation period.
