you are right jmcomms...a 2 mp camera....tht a good a s a digital cam ....a small time camcoder...mp3 player ha plays mp4/aac ...mp3 at196kbps...in w800 give it a try ..you will rock ....
and did someone say lack of space...a 512mb cad icluded ..and expandable upto 4 gb ..+ 38 mb of internal space....if you say tht is a gimmic than
give me a break...
tell me a phone you can use in airplane listen to music and take pictures...
n a airplane ...none apart form sony can i can think of ...
all this and loads of other features....
there is nothing better tan this for now......may be you can get your hands on one and will realise wht i am tlaking bro ....have a nice day

The earphones that came with my W600i are absolutely amazing. I have to say having being used the IPOD ones too I like the w600 ones much better. They are just so damn clear and good, you can hear the base and beats of the songs very clear.

Fair play maybe i am a space hog. Although i do like to carry every episode of family guy and southpark with me at all times along with about 200 albums. Best option i think is to get both and also a decent digicam then carry them all around in some sort of fetching man bag! :-)

Hi I am not sure the comparison between an Ipod (A Limited to Single function device) and a multi purpose phone, is a fair one neither devices can do what the other can (you cant make calls or take photos with an Ipod nor can you store 20plus Gig on a SE phone yet!) But whist I am a hard core
fan I am not convinced about the walkman series of phones yet, I convinced a colleague in my office to look at the W800 when he was upgrading his phone and he did indeed buy one. But in all fairness the sound quality is not great it emits a constant faint but audible hiss which for a digital device is not really good enough!!!!!

But as he says he wanted an all in one device and this seemed to be the best of the buch at the time he bought his. One point I would make is Ipods are old technology (Mechanical) dressed up in nice clothes with loads of marketing money thrown at them bit like the "Kings Clothes" perhaps?
ps Ebay do a nice line in bags!!

You are right may be we should just compare the quality of music....coz as afull functional devide ipod is no match ...
but if you compare only themusic...may be there will be a division on tht..
with people having different opinions..
but irs like instead of investing in a ipod...you can invest a little more and get a multi funcion device with excellent sound quality ...
sounds like a good deal ?
