I've read mixed recommendations on what to do if a phone is dropped in water (or... yes, down a toilet).
Could someone please confirm whether it is a good or bad idea to put the phone in an oven at a low low temperature, or somewhere somewhat warm? (In front of a heater).
Or is it best just to leave it in a well ventilated room?
I recall someone here once saying that an oven or overly warm place is not good...

I'd say putting the phone in the oven, even at a low temperature would be a bad idea! Best somewhere like an airing cupboard or windowsill in the sun I think

Can't see why you would want to hold a phone while over the toilet - asking for trouble. I once saw a bloke drop his in the urinal trough at our local plub - there were a couple of blokes in there having a wazz - he picked it out, shook it off (the phone that is!) and left looking very embarrassed!
