i would be really interested, that the k6 joys ( according the metal solution ) are more resistant then the plastic ones. guess the answer will be here in ca 1 year, after longer usage and testings.

of all the

phones that i've used, i find the joystick of the T610 to be the most durable. i bought it second-hand from someone who used it for a year, and it gave me 9 months of trouble-free operations! worst was the joystick of the k700, it feels very sensitive. d-pad? it's an obvious answer...

@BobaFett
I stand corrected

T68m is an ERICSSON and an SE phone. I hope they should continue to use that "metal solution" on their joysticks if they decide to go for joystick on future SE phones. Yeah probably a year of usage would be fair enought to evaluate if the "metal joy" is a success.

The only reason i chose a w550i over w810i is for its dpad. And it works gr8. I play games wit it. The worst joystic can b found in j200i. I injured my finger,

Well actually it does seem that metal joysticks work better. The Motorola E398 and ROKR E1 both have metal joysticks as well and they seem to be working fine for just about all of their users.

Yeah, i owned a w550i and it's dpad is well designed for gaming. I play a lot of Sky FOrce on my k600. The joystick is still holding up
@shaliron
Metal Joysticks all the way!

not only that, it should be dust resistant like the k600i.

seems that the k608i joy is the same as the k600, but that palstic look isnt very nice. imo its also a bit more loose.

I have T68i since 31 May 2002 - the joystick works very well with no problems at all.

My t610's joystick still works perfect. Am using a W800 now, so far no problems. ma bro uses a k700 and a k750. both the josyticks are screwed up.
So, the best joystick in my opinion is the T610.

Yeah, my friend also has an old T610 and the joystick is working absolutely fine. So I guess that the joystick is the luck of the draw? My old camera (Nikon 3700) had a joystick and its still being used with no problems after quite a few years of use. Without it, it wouldn't work so I don't think that 'joysticks' are netorious for problems, it's just SE's joysticks. They really need to find better designs.
