Im 18 this year (so age wise not that far away from you-ish!) and I know how hard it can be to find a job- if thats your problem... But you're real lucky to have a W800i at your age u know, i don't particularly think the Nokia N70 is that superior to your cool W800i, and in comparison to the Samsung D600 yours is the bomb! (its white and looks flash, not to mention the Walkman branding and the Autofocus on your camera- which takes the best pics compared to all the phones you mentioned your mates have) Loadsa peeps would class the W800i as a High-end mobile, cuz it is

(but i suppose we're all free to spend on whatever we want to buy).
I see no reason as to why you can't get a job seeing as though you're old enough. Though it's nice to be able to set up your own business say like on ebay (if you're into entrepreneurship). But if u keep trying you're bound to find one.

True, but don't forget- alot of Symbian Software requires you to buy it (im sure). So it'll probably mean you'll be looking for even more money after you've actually bought the phone (=more expenses!)
@Xugaa- £250 a week?! Thats crazy! Is he in full-time education (doing A-Levels?) or did he quit education and now works full-time?

btw, if you're gonna dream big, and want all your friends to envy you, might as well get the N80. better yet, get the Nokia N93 once it comes out. that'll keep you on top for at least 6 months. the perfect convergence device. looks like a darned transformer though. has wi-fi capability... and it's black, which i love. i'm just hoping it's not the usual craaaaaaaaawling nokia.
i'm gonna work my butt off this coming summer, apart from taking extra classes, to save up for my imaginary SE W950 with dual cameras.
worked last summer for my w800, and worked during winter break + saved up allowance for my w810. it was all worth it, though. kinda nice to know about phones months before their releases.

Man, the Nokia N93 is sweet! I think black phones look wkd as well- cuz they're real sophisticated. The N93 is one of the Nokia's i would think about getting (now thats saying something!). Hopefully the OS doesnt lag though. Even using my bros 6230i was a nightmare- it takes ages to get around menus.

@ Scape... i'm pretty sure the US is behind in mobile technology right? When ever i'm there the phone shops always have poor models etc... best i've seen was the treo650, and a blackberry (this was in the summer).
@ The guy who wants a new phone... if your business minded buy/sell stuff, if not get a job. I started buying and selling from about 12/13 and made my money like that, i'm 18 now and haven't asked money off my parents since then. I'd advise you to probably get a job as buying/selling needs money to start off, and trust me you won't want to upgrade so often either as you'd appriciate the phone more once you've earned the money to pay for it.
I'm sure most here would agree
As for the w800i Vs the N70, I'd go for the n70, the w800i
does feel like a toy I think, and the colours don't help! Hate the menu too, never like the "grid" layout.
If you save long enough get a p990i, that'll blow them all away, untill that comes out i'm making do with 3 Nokias! 8800, 6230/i and a 6310i

kk.226:
majority of the phone shops here are far behind, but there are a couple in chinatown that sell phones as soon as they're released by the manufacturer. but boy are they expensive. there's also this store on madison ave. in front of the sony style shop that caters to mobile tech enthusiasts. when i lost my headphones for my w800 back then that's where i ran to for a replacement. it was $65, though. lol. a lot compared to hpm-70's on eBay. but i couldn't wait, so i jumped the gun.
