Well i had to put the phone right up to my ear, but i did hear the crackles. They must be in the original sound, i took just over 4 secs of that, copied it and pasted it onto itself, reversed that, and repeated for over 30 secs of audio, so the crackle will repeat all the way.

the whistle ringtone you guys are talking about. by any chance are you guys talking about Twisted Nerve by Bernard Hermann found in the Kill Bill movie? too bad k750 has a time limit on the message alert or this would be great because it gets louder and faster with time. is that the one you guys are talking about?

All this tone is is a high frequency sine wave, something like 16Khz. Bloody annoying though. May have to bung it on my phone for a laugh.

No, it's pretty much the sound they use to test your hearing. It starts off inaudible for some then you get a high pitch sound pretty much everyone can hear. Download the 2 from my site to hear.
