UMMM... now you mention it, my reception does go a lil crazy..... some times i have none.... especially when playing games or taking pics.... i notice it changes from the bars to this - '...........' which is very wierd...

but battery life... seems ok to me.. not as good as my w800i yet, but if i remember correct it took a lil bit of time for that to become good (maybe that pyscologocal and maybe because its newer i use it more - after a month or too i dont use it as much - therefor making teh battery appear to perform better..... i havent a clue about batterys tho, so tahst just a lil theory

Mate, im just so impressed by phones today... i still remember my first ever phone - moto startac...... my oh my, how theyve grown up

Back on teh w810i, the camera quality is amazin.... tbh i only ever use 2 mega pixel on my digi cam so this phone is teh perfect solution of my needs i feel so sad lol, i never got so attached to a phone as this one lol

Is the W810i worth the extra £50? Yes. However I had mixed feelings about the W810i for the first few weeks. I had previously owned a W800i and loved it from day one.

The W800i had a couple of minor faults. One, the battery cover creaked when using the keypad and let's face it, cream and orange don't look good.

The W810i dpad is not as good as the joystick on the W800i and I still prefer the whole layout of the W800i keypad. As for the W810i screen size, if it is smaller then you won't notice it because the display clarity blows the W800i out the water.

I turn down the W810i brightness to 80% to save battery power and Sony dumped the screensaver clock because of the type of display used. This caused a big problem for me because the screensaver clock would also display an envelope when an unread message was waiting. They should have put a message indicator light on the phone that flashes or make the phone beep every 5 minutes just like Motorola have done.

The flashing camera light bug is solved with later firmware. Just to finish, using a fairly full 2GB card in my W800i made for slow navigation through tracks but the W810i feels faster.

The absence of lense cover was enough for me to not get the W810. Plus, its much more expensive than the W800 and offers no innovations. I dont like the black color, its not the corporate black like in the D600, instead it just looks 'plasticy', like i'm holding a toy!

imo 50% is enough for that screen, as i mentioend brfore, its pretty sharp and maybe even more bright with 50% compared to w800 for example

i use 60% on my w810i the same as what i used to put my w800i too

I have to agree slightly - in that the phone does look better in the magazines, images tahn when you get one in your hand.... its not cheap lokoing tho, i think its one to teh best looking SE phones to date...

I kept leaving the W800i lens cover open after taking a picture so the lack of one on the W810i isn't an issue for me.

I laughed when I saw the K800i, all the styling of a dog parking it's breakfast. However I do like the new W850i as my next SE but a bit annoyed at the lack of auto-focus which means no macro. Still, you can't have everything.
