Question.

Why pay for this service when it is free with SEUS? There may not be an upgrade for your phone today as the w810i a bit new but in two weeks or so it might be there. In my opinion, this is a waste of money.

Why? Because I have a branded phone (w800), and there hasn't been officiall update since version R1N035 (and that's like the first one)...

and some people would like to change from one region firmware to another in an unlocked phone too to have a needed language. stupid SEUS can't do that for us.

I know the basic reasons for purchasing credits. However, it appears that most people here just can not wait for SEUS to post the upgrades.

Second, SEUS is not stupid because it does not change regions or CDA's. It was not designed to do this. Maybe it is dumb to think it is designed for this.

Hi all, anyone care to continue the discussion in this thread instead? Besides, do we really need a separate advertising thread for each firmware version (for each phone) in this section, or shouldnt this be in the market section? mods, attention please. my 2c. thanks.

Well my phone was already unbranded. I know the reasons to unbrand phones considering I have unbranded a few myself. I have a brand new k600i that was a v600i sitting in the corner not even being used. So no lesson needed here. However, SE does release the updates as needed. Second it is your money and you can do whatever you want with it, but as I know the updates from SE are FREE and eventually come and there are no major problems with the w810i I can wait. Besides, I have friends at Maifon and my upgrades are always free as are my phones. I do testing for SE anyway and I get phones for free. It just seems like a waste to pay for something that is free in the first place.
