Actually it didn't turn out too bad! It set hard but gone a little bit grey thats cos i properly been touching it with fingers it was still sticky and it's picked up some dirt in the process. But i don't mind as long as i have a top for the joystick!

As you can see there is a discolouration of the glue, maybe because it picked up dirt when i was touching it when still wet/damp :-| But it not that noticeable as it is on thie pictures, but may be that's because they are close ups?

Nice. The polyurethane I used was 3M Scotch-Weld 3532, and it's still going strong. I hoped it'd drop out by now so's i could mix up a new one with a hint of orange dye to match the phone.

I was thinking to do that as well, but i had nothing orange/red to mix with the glue so it turned out like this. Oh well, as long it lasts is what matters as i'm not to fussed with the way it looks.

Hey, guys. I mucked around with replacing the rubber bit with silicon. Sure, I thought it was a good solution when I did it. But over time the silicon worked free and fell out just like the original rubber bit. In the end I paid a mere 10 Aussie Dollars (approx - may have been a little more) for an after market joystick from Hong Kong. Believe me, this is your best option! Absolutely no doubt about it. These after market products seem very close to the original item except they have a rather solid clear plastic filling in the centre that seems to last very well. Mine's going very well so far and I have given it some abuse. Installation is not as daunting as some may think. Installation is dead simple: remove 2 screws holding front facia, use a guitar pick(or something similar) to lift the face plate, remove old joystick, insert replacement and reattach front facia. The end result: Something that looks and performs just like the original should have. And, a joystick that lasts!

I have wear and tear on the camera mirror where the silver mirror has worn away, leaving a circle of grey in the middle and a few deep scratches on the metal bit around the camera as well., so it may b just general wear and tear of the phone?
But to be honest, it doesnt really bother me, as long i have no problem with the rest of the phone!
