i use bluetooth way back since Ericsson T28 and HBH-10 bluetooth handsfree. That must be at least 3 years . I had sold my T28 but still keeping HBH-10.
I am currently using both HBH-30 and HBH-60 on T610. It is sad to say HBH-30 & 60 bluetooth handsfrees are just not as good as HBH-10. There is absolutely no crackle noise in HBH-10.

Yeah, on a Mac when a call comes through on your mobile, it pops-up the name of the person on the Macs screen with 3 options - answer, voicemail or text reply.
Also, if you recieve a text message, it will appear on the Macs screen, where you can save it to the persons details in the Address Book, and send a text message back. All without touching the phone!
This is built-in to Mac OS X - I don't know if Windows has similar functions.

Just wondering how I set this up .. I have a 12" Powerbook w/ BT and soon-to-be t616 (used to have a t68). Never saw such a feature... I know i can iSync (have done that with the t68) but the text messaging etc (I'd like to be able to send / receive SMS on the Powerbook) and see the caller ID on the PB etc...

You don't have to set it up. Just make sure your phone is searchable and launch Addressbook on your Mac. Watch the liitle black "B (Bluetooth-Symbol" at the top of the Addressbook-window turn blue. If i doesn't - klick once on it. Now your phone and Addressbook application are paircoupled and you can see who is calling. You can also reas invoming SMS-messages on your Mac. If you move the cursor on a phone number in Addressbook you vill see it highligt in grey, click and hold on the darker part in front of the number and you will be presented with the options of call the number, without dialing it on the phone, or write a SMS on the Mac. Pretty cool !

HBH60 and at least once a week to transfer files back and forth between my
T610 and my other halfs Siemens S55. I agree that the so called 10 metre range is debatable. More like 5 metres with headsets.
