Well the N80 is a smartphone and the K800 is a simple everyday type of phone. They're different phones for different market segments, and comparing them is a bit unreasonable.

I agree the phones are different and cannot be compared features wise, but they seem to be two of the 'must haves' at the moment. But the N80 is still a dissapointment, it could have been so much better if nokia put a bit more thought and care into design and build of hardware and software.

So can you say a N80 is a N70 but with a 3MP cam?

QVGA - The n80 is a business phone.

DarrenGF - you say "but my k700 vga takes better shots than the n80" I have produced some prety good pics with the n80, far better than the w800i I had. The k800i is a great camera but it is a camera phone. You will probably find the quality of the pistures is down to the photographer not the N80. The n80 just takes a bit of getting use to setting up the shot, like most real photography does.

Roriboy - "a real nuisance to lock the keypad". You just load a free application and define one of the soft keys to run it. Easy. Lock with 1 button unlock by opening the slider or click 2 buttons.

you can not directly compare these 2 phones (well you can but it means nothing). Depends what you want.

k800 has a great phone (but nothing else it has beats the n80)

n80 has:

2gb memory is £30 ish, k800 is only 1gb for the same money
wifi
offline mode (flight mode) on both
video quality
install loads of applications
good quality sat nav applications available

This phone has all the functionality of a laptop but it is a phone.

The battery life is poor but the host of features makes up for it. I hope a newer firmware comes out soon (silimar to the k750i firmware improvemnts) and fixs a few of the niggles.

Great quote BobaFett, if you ignore all the features any phone has other than being able to make calls you could say all phones are identicle!!

I think the 3mp comparison has been made and everyone agrees that the k800 is a better camera.
