And of course, you could raise the volume using the equalizer (at the expense of sound quality)!

EDIT: By the way, iPod headphones are very poor! They are quite good versus most included earbuds, but versus aftermarket phones they are poor. That is why I do not understand these folks who drop £300 on an iPod and listen to it using £5 (if that) headphones. Total waste - slaves to fashion!

The ones i had came with only two pairs of ear buds: the medium ones and large ones which were very uncomfortable for me; the small ones are a perfect fit(for me). Luckily i saw someone selling on a local internet site with a set of the 2 sizes(small and large ones) who has mistakenly lost his hpm 70. i find the volume rather low unlike my 800's media player. i guess its the software(since a few have posted it being low); or i might have started getting deaf

I agree about the volume. I have a pair of grey HPM-70's and I often end up with the volume set to MAX on my K800. I also found the silicon earbuds a bit uncomfortable at the beginning, before I got used to them. I also got the immpresion that these kinds of headphones should provide a richer and better bass, but so far, I have not noticed any major difference from K800's original headphones. They remain in the ear though, better than the original plugs, especially the right one, the one with the microphone, had a tendency to pop out of my ear too often.

Used to own a w550i which comes in with a silver HPM-70. Now i own a W810 which comes in with the black one. I like both. The silver is nice because it blends well with casual clothes. I like the black if you're in an office attire. More professional looking

I agree with lukealexander. My HPM-70 sounds better than the stock headphones from IPOD. It's even better than the IPOD in-ear earphones

yea.. i agree that. HPM-70 was the greatest(for me ) headphones i'd ever use kinda risky when you wear it on your working hour seals your ear hole and you heard nothing but just the music ahh~~ i heard Kenny G's saxophone what a relaxing day.....

My silver HPM70 came today, my black ones come tomorrow. I think I will keep both lol.

One thing I have noticed is that even though the silicone ends are the same as my Ex-71s, they seem to go deeper into the ear canal. They feel slightly more uncomfortable to me and I can certainly see how people could get a headache/earache from using them.

Still, very pleased so far and undoubtedly they will be much better once burned in.

Here are some pictures of both silver/grey and black HPM-70.
Is it just my imagination or does the black version feel of inferior quality? The silver/grey ones are smooth and without lips, wheras the black have a few ridges from the forming process.

Seeing them next to each other, I prefer black - but if I had never seen them together I wouldn't mind which.

one question... are those rubber plugs... "wobbly" soft? or just soft..., yea know soft but a lil bit sturdy.. it has resistance when you squeeze on it.

mines very soft... and when i bought them the rubber was of the same size... not small medium large... it was of the same size...

I like the black ones the best, although i ordered the black set i got silver ones instead which was quite annoying since i have a black K750i and IMO black ones look better with the k750i.
