Would you really like to have:
A phone that takes 30sec to startup and 30s to turn itself up. And when the phone has crashed and reboots it will complain that you didn't turn it off correctly.
A phone that will have a few security updates every week.
A phone that after 2-3 days use suddenly can't start programs because of some unkown reason, and you will have to reboot. Or suddenly you can't dial a number or answer a call..
A phone with an OS that will slow down after a few days of use. And the only cure is to reboot.
A phone that have lousy standby and talktimes. And not only that suddenly a program will hang and it will use 100% of the cpu, and suddenly you have a standby time of 3 hours without you noticing it until it's too late.
A phone that suddenly runs out of memory, and crashes.
If this is what you want from a phone then by all means go for M$.
I'm sadly using Windows on my computer right now, and I don't like it at all I'm forced to use it because the programs that I use are only available on the Windows platform. Sadly there are no alternatives because of M$ dominance in the market. I have other OS's as well that I would like to use all the time but as I said the important software is only available for Windows, which is really bad. I really really hope that M$ will never get that kind of market dominance on mobile phones. It's sad that people are more or less forced to use M$ products.

Im with orangeman on this one...
I dont care if is M$ or not - if it work and is good then Im getting it - certainly at £180 I think its cheap at the price - esp if P800 is going to cost over £300 and SE have just hyped it up too much - SPV was officially anounced yesterday and should be available to the public NOV only two weeks to build it up... SE have had over 6 months and still havent produced the goods... need I say more?
If I wanted a palm I would have bought a palm..... As long as it does what it says on the packet I'll be happy.

Isn't it bad enough that Microsoft dominates the PC arena? They also want the console segment (X-BOX) , and now the mobile phone market ? MAN, how much does Bill Gates want ? ( his name even appears on T9 !! )

T68 takes about this time, and longer to get to the phone book.

My T68 does this

Can you get slower than a T68...
And rebooting doesn't make it faster
>>A phone that have lousy standby and talktimes.
My T68 is down to a day and a bit after 10 months.
OK, OK, the T68 is still a great phone, but it could be better. At the same time, you're comparing this phone to a >80Mb operating system, which is ridiculous. It may have the odd bug (name me a phone that doesn't) but it's hardly going to behave like Windows XP is it.
Personal opinion is that this phone's pig-ugly anyway!
