I am actually quite pleased with my P990. I had the P800, then the P900. The latter was broken after 2 years, so stupidly I bought a Nokia N80. Sold the N80 as soon as I managed to get hold of a P990. No regrets at all.
I think there is a small bug somewhere as my P990 does crash and reset every now and then, but that's no difference to the N80 getting hung or my HP iPaq 6515 getting hung and needs to reset.
The fact that I could fully sync my Outlook contacts (including all the notes) beats any Nokia hands down. The P990 (also Pocket PCs) is the only smart phones come close to full sync with Outlook.
The P990 is a complicated piece of equipment, so I do accept some hickups. It's the best on the market for what it does.

There will always be some people who try to turn beauty into ugliness. It looks sad but that's the name of the game i.e. they have their respective role.
As of other comments so far...mmmm...soon and hopefully P990 is in my hands.

Im just wondering...a lot are saying that the phone's unusable, but others are claiming that the software updates have fixed the issue...I feel very much torn apart about getting the phone. are those people saying the phone's great just blinding themselves, or have the SW updates really fixed majority of the issues? dont get me wrong..i think its a great phone. just don't know whom to believe.

look. the P990's not perfect (yet), and that comes with the territory of getting the newest and most powerful. if you want a 'safe' phone, go buy a nokia. but you want all the bells and whistles that P990 has to offer, then you just gotta suck it up, cos no other machine can do what this little beauty can. =)~
