I just lost my w810 and got a k618 to use. I liked the w810 a little better, though it might be cuz I lost it. I thought that the w810 is a little more detailed than the k618, things like the media player, auto dimmer for keys backlight, better headphones, FM radio (grrr.....),
overall design and quality. It's also a little smaller, but heavier than the k618. Then again k618 is 3G which i can't use with Fido.

@NewMossie .... First off Welcome to Esato! Second, welcome fellow Fido user - I'm in Toronto where you at?!
OK for those that have used BOTH the W810 & K618 I've got a question.
> How are using the keypad buttons between the two? I really liked the K750's buttons and didnt like the design of the W810 ... until I bought one! INCREDIBLE buttons on the w810! Also is the video/java specs better on the w810 or not? Is the imbedded os faster?
> Both have incredible OS we all love.
> W810 has AutoFocus & Macro capability ... something I think Eldar mentioned that future Walkman series will NOT have ... which would be stupid by SE.
> The EDGE capability keeps me satisfied in my country - on Fido; as much as someone would on UMTS in Europe.
If anyone is thinking of using the K618 as a walkman with an EXTENSIVE library of tracks that they want to port with them ... then the limit of the current maximum size of the M2 will surely be annoying.
> I'm hoping for the speculated/rumored high end walkman phone next year by SE that will have the 3.2MP camera & AutoFocus.

@eurav - If sound you are after .. . definitely go for the W810i . . . I went to the mall yesterday and saw this K618i (first time

) . . . it's really nice ! Looks like the TWIN of the W810i, color, shell and size

I'm beginning to like the unit, might trade my K800 for it

@Prom1: Thanks for the welcome. I'm in T.O. too, North York area.
The nav keys for k618 is more cramped tha the w810, so it's slighter harder to press. But the sqeaky noise is gone. As for java, it loads my games faster, and that's all I really care about. Haven't tried video, with the tiny amount of memory.
Music is quite good, the hiss is definitely gone and sound is much louder. Though speakers haven't improved and headphones are still a must.

Thanks for the comparo Mossie.
HOLY Frig! Where in North York?! Thats my old stomping grounds from a few years back. I used to live by Bathurst & Drewry .... but Crew was always hanging out at Bathurst & Steeles just at the park before the Train Tracks ... before that huge Cynagogue/school was built; the one with the glass roof.
Man what a small world. How is schools like? Newtonbrook S.S. or Northview Secondary Heights?! I actually went to BOTH.

K618 has also java platform 7(like k800) which means better games than w810. Bluetooth stereo, multitasking, and better shortcut keys

i`m thinking of buying w810. i have a v630i. what i read heree looks like w810 is above k618. another good thing is the size of the delivered memory stick, 256 in v630 and 512 in w810. in conclusion should i trade v630i for w810i?

Doing so would be wise.
