I tried this but I guess I have to drink more coffee and understand this trick... didn't quite work. Damn cr*ppy connection.

Btw Tommac where you from? That's English you're typing right?

Ok, we have been ripping into Tommac here - I guess due to his incredible interpretation of the English language.
However,
I have just tried this tip and it is absolutely spot on! Once fitted I cannot make my mp3 player disconnect at all!
Here is how to apply this tip:
Get some thin card board and cut out a rectangle to the following dimensions:
26mm x 11mm.
Now fold it in half and (tricky bit this) cut out a slot inside the rectangle to 20mm x 5mm.
You should end up with something that looks like a little letter box.

Now slide the slotted card over all the connections on the MP3 player.
Then connect your phone.

Bingo. Works a treat!

Well done Tommac - good thinking!

Incidentally,

This tip should work with all other attachments too. Ie. Radio, phone charger, camera etc.

Obviously much more useful with the Mp3 player and radio.

Ah, finally got it... YESSS! Now I can use the MP3 again when it's most useful (in transit, that is). Thx Tommac clever idea.

Btw, Sheffield-- could have guessed

Anyway, couldn't SE have figured this out before getting it on the market? Like they just tested it sitting in the lab in white coats?! Is the connection of the newer accesoiries better (MCA-20, 25)? Or do I have to keep fixing €200 accesories with €0,01 pieces of cardboard

I only said to fold in half to make it easier to cut the slot out.
You can trim the outside dimensions of the cardboard a little smaller to stop it sticking out.

This is the sort of shape you want. (If you imagine the outlines being joined together).

Ignore the dots it was the only way I could sort of make it display correctly.
