things noticed in the new version: (generic france is what i got.. stupid AZERTY keyboard.. :- /)
. the time between entering a character and it changing to a '*' in password fields has lengthened
. menu-ing feels faster - could be placebo
. the email and internet accounts now have 'wizards'
i wish i could see the time on screen lock that was just reported! how??

ah - i see the confusion - there's no change in behaviour between the last version i had and this version. screen dims to black after x amount of time - keyboard set to auto lock.
when i disturb the phone, i get the lock screen saying do whatever to unlock the keyboad and this screen has a time display on it (as it did in my last firmware version).
i thought the poster was referring to behaviour like in the k750i where the screen is mostly dim, but there's still a clock display increment-scrolling... this is not what you're seeing, is it?

weird.. but the clock you now see is as i've described (basically)?
my last firmware (prior to today's update) was:
cxc 162037 r4a002
cxc 162058 r3a01
cxc 162071 r3b01
cda 162011/4 r3b01

other items of note:
. still no support for animated wallpaper

yeah, nothing new there about the clock.
I've told people in many posts how to see the time (or missed calls, texts etc) this way

i have the same fw and i have a small clock when i lock the phone - not that i can see it. what i really need is a way to brighten the screen without the "press * to unlock" message
