BTW,GPRS rate here is divide as 4 degree:
1)$0.0036/KB
2)$2.42 for first 1MB, and above it is $0.0012/KB
3)$12.09 for first 20MB, and above it is $0.0012/KB
4)$24.18 for no limit use.

In Lihuania 2 SP offers GPRS and MMS:
BiteGSM ~0.43EUR per MMS
And offers few tipes of GPRS payments.The cheapest MB price ~0.10EUR, the most expensive ~2EUR

Omnitel:
MMS free till Y2003
GPRS for ~10EUR it gives 4M, after ~1.5EUR. At night - free

in Telcel Mexico, $0.12 MXP per kb (around $0.012 USD), there are plans such as 1 MB per $10 USD, 50 MB for $50 USD, I don't think is that cheap. No MMS yet.

SingTel/Singapore GPRS rates are pay per use, S$0.004(promo for first 12mths) per kb, normal S$0.005 per kb.

US$1 approx S$1.75..

For MMS, currently on promotion till 31 Dec 02, no charges for MMS but normal GPRS charges applies for sender and receiver.

However interconnection between the 3 operators does not exist and the hype seems to have died even before it has started..

According to my last visit to AT&T Wireless (who just started their GPRS network), it's total, utter rape compared to other countries.

$2.99 a month just for CONNECTIVITY (no included data); 2 cents/kb afterward.
$7.99 a month for ONE megabyte; 1 cent/kb afterward
$12.49 a month for TWO megabytes; 1 cent/kb afterward.

MMS is available, but you have to subscribe to the service first, then the size of your MMS is assessed for further pricing. Wrong wrong wrong.
It's disgusting how behind America is in cell phone technology, and their salesman kept trying to push GPRS on me too! I was like, screw this, when you offer unlimited access like in Sweden, I'll consider it, but I'm not going to get raped at these sort of prices when I can just bluetooth everything.
