Ok. For those who tell that the k800 can click better pictures, why don't u post some pictures comparing it with the w800 or k750 just like what i did. I am not challenging you. Its just that my bro wants a new phone and i want to get him the better one. I just loved the k800 but not satisfied with the pictures i clicked. Hoping to get a postivie result.
Also pls lemme know if the Firmware is the problem that is causing the dissapointment. The firmware is R1CB001. The first ever FW that came with the k800.

Sure the phone has the camera but I do not think that anyone considers this a high quality camera. It is more for on the spot fun rather than serious photography. All in one devices rarely live up to the hype. For music, and video I use an 80gig iPod, for photos I use a Nikon D200. Both of these perform their core functions almost without an equal. As far as the k800i is concerned, you pay for what you get.

I havnt seen any 80GB iPOD yet on sale anywhere. How much did it cost you?

I've not got any outdoor pictures with the K800 but I've seen some very good ones. R1ED001 fixes issures with the camera, people have noted that the camera takes better pics and the menus work much faster. I'm on the same firmware as you and I'm going to update today!

http://www.apple.com and with shipping and tax about $xxx. Do the math. Didn't it occur to you to check out the Apple site first?

Well NO. I have a Fujifilm finepix f10 for photography. I was only tryin to get others opinion on what i have experienced. I never asked you whether i was considering this as a high quality camera. I dont see the point you are tryin to raise. Also i would prefer to have everything in one gadget.
I just wanted a comparison from someone else on the w800 and the k800 camera.

My question was more along the lines of: "you know what you are getting" rather than actually questioning your photography prowess. In other threads in this forum people tend to have misconceptions about functionality verses fact. Example: the jump from 2 to 3.2 megapixel will hardly be noticeable, however, make that very same jump from 2 megapixel to say, 5 and above and you will see a marked difference. I was also trying to point out that all in one devices are crippled by virtue of their design. They are good at many things but do not excel at any one particular thing due to the compromises that are built into the design. As for the k800i, it is an okay phone/camera/media player in my opinion. I went from a w800i, to a w810i, to the k800i all in the space of 2 and a half months but in the end, I think the k800i is better. I have an M600i as well that I prefer to my k800i as the camera is not really a major attraction for me.
