2. download Mobile Device Center from here.

3. install the Mobile Device Center on any vista version...
4. Install SE pc Suite..
it should works even if u want to syn a P900i with any windows vista

must admit that I haven't seen that before but it looks useful for WM devices

yeap.. helped 1 of my friends which bought a vista home basic but cant syn with vista anymore.
he manage to use the above mobile device center works like a champ and syn all his contacts, calender and notes to his office 2007 without any problem.
it's official application release by Microsoft. which is easier to use and hassel free..

no idea about widcom drivers. my vaio has BT built in

guess i have to try out the new widcomm version 6 driver just release 25 jan 2007. hope i dont need to format again for the 5th time to get every driver right...

I've not been able to install PC Suite on Vista yet not even following the very helpful advice posted by others. Does this new method mean that I will be able to or has it not altered the fact that error messages crop up and PC Suite uninstalls?

Spending about an hour on this, I have managed to hack the drivers for all phones that are supported by SE PC Suite out of the installation program. I have them available in zip format. From what I can tell, its the programs that come with PC Suite that are incompatible with Vista, not the drivers.
However, all is not lost, if you attach your phone, install the drivers provided and then download and install a great tool compatible with a few SE fones called MyPhoneExplorer (available from
http://www.fjsoft.at/en/ ), then you can have all of the features of SE PC Suite and more, without the hassle.
