curious, i was told uiq devices never had this without 3rd party apps, so your p910 had it?

I have own a Nokia N80 and N73 and for this you had to use 3rd party apps. So its nothing strange for me that the P990i cant do this without 3rd party apps

I used to own Series 60 device before and was very happy with the SmartAnswer voice mail recorder and I made the wrong assumption that this was possible on all Symbian devices. This was one of my reasons for trading my i-mate JAMin for a P990i, only to realize that this is not possible.
Quite ironic is the fact that after my trade the LivePVR software was released for Windows Mobile and have been
reported to work well on the JAMin. To quote Black Adder: Oh yes, damn. Percy, the devil farts in my face once more.

sorry, memory playing games with me, i used the p910i to record the phone call whilst on speakerphone on the k750i, even though i am now lead to believe you can record a call anyway with such a phone!!

guys wait a few months and you'll see alot of apps swiming to catch them freely so be patients and you'll see apps just like the huge number of S60 apps..

I had a chance to try out LivePVR on my JASJAM (HTC Hermes). The software is space-age bleeding edge technology: it can't capture the audio-stream through software even under WM5 so the restriction is that the phone's speaker must be on so that the audio can be recorded through the microphone...
Maybe that's an idea for the software houses to implement this in the P990i as well, assuming that Softtrends haven't already patented their amazingly clever solution.
