well i will have to upgrade to a 360 any because of halo 3 of course.but wii just seem to be a very relaxing gaming console that you could have lots of fun with.

looks like i started a bit of a debate ooops

well ps3 is a deffinate no to me i am affraid

these are what put me off

1 the cost

2 how expensive the games are

3 its sony and they take the rivals ideas

4 prob same old games new title and remastered like gran tourismo 5 or what ever

Cost - Well many seem to complain about this and fair enough as some people cannot pay for the console nor the games or are just not willing to, but I think that when you consider what is in the console and its games, being on blu-ray discs which are approximately 7x bigger capacity wise than dvds and with the graphics capability of the PS3 you really must understand and accept why the prices are high, Sony are already selling the consoles at a massive loss, so really it's expected. It's just like phones, you expect and accept to pay more for a P990 than you do a K750, so why should this be any different, simply put you get what you pay for.

Sony - Now I wouldn't advise you to really go by this Sony copying crap spread by Nintendo fanboys, basically it's rubbish and shouldn't be listened to at all. Companies all over the world take ideas from one another to improve what they have, for example Motorola with their slim phone ideas and suddenly other companies are going down the slim route as well. Sony are accused by these fools at copying the motion sense within the control, what so Nintendo invented this? No, I had a Sidewinder for my computer back in like 2000, so in fact Nintendo are the one's who copied this at first, Sony simply adpating from this. But then both controllers are so different from one another anyway it's stupid to accuse Sony of this. But then what about the analogue controller feature? Sony did actually invent this and yet Nintendo have copied it, so have Microsoft, I mean damn so have even Sega! The rumble effect, fine so Sony don't use it anymore, but Microsoft used that yet the Sony were the first to use it, surely this mirrors the motion controller event between Sony and Nintendo. Although there are more, what about the console DVD player? Sony put that on a console first, yet the others copied, and what about the internet on a console? Sega used that first, their Dreamcast failed and so Sony used it, the the others copied. This is just a rather stupid thing to say, Sony have had more things stolen from them than most other companies, so are they really the copiers?

Games - At the moment yes I agree, game wise Sony's console release games aren't anything amazing and yes compared to the 360 and Wii they less at the moment. But not forgetting that every console Sony has ever produced has always had the biggest and best library and not by a few, but by thousands, obviously apart from a few Nintendo classics. Xbox, well Microsoft actually haven't managed to release a unique or majorly different game at all, since every Xbox and Xbox 360 game can either be bought for another console or the PC, or another better alternative can be found anyway. Sony's library is much more than a few remakes of what are known great legends of games, but they offer so much more and in time Sony will not fail to meet the library of the PS1/PS2 with it's PS3. Personally I can't wait most for Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Dynasty Warriors 6, Kingdom Hearts 3, Grand Turismo Vision etc etc.

the cost of a blue ray disc player alone is around 1000 i think. so its actually a great deal the ps3.

i am actually only choosing what one to get by comparing the prices. i'm not bothered about graphics. i just want the console to have good fun games to play and the wii does that and its also the cheapest option so no doubt i will be buying or receiving one of these for christmas or a little past christmas
