Here's how Ian Flemming envisaged Bond,as you can see he's likeness is very close to what Pierce Brosnan or Sean Connery look like.

James Bond is an institution,you can't add or takeaway bits...Im sure Ian Flemming would have wanted his character and portrayal of his work to be close as possible to how he wanted it to be seen.
