> The Great T630 to P990i/W950i Experiment 2!
Bookmark topic
Though I think when I did the original experiment my initial outlay was £5.55, and I think I also spent an additional £20 for a charger and a screen or something like that, I'm going to try to be a bit stricter this time and try not to spend more than my initial £12 outlay if I can, even if it means selling a phone on as still faulty and going back a step.

I've always found T610/T630s to be particulary easy to repair - thats a good place to start.

It's a T630 I'm starting with, hopefully will be an easy fix!

I would imagine screen faults on the older phones would be a no-brainer as I would expect the lcd screens to be cheaper.
A good T630 can still go for around £50 can't it?

You are lucky to get £30 for a T630 on ebay.

Yes, I had a look and £25-£30 is the typical amount they go for, if I'm lucky I'll get £40. It also depends on if I can fix the charging fault, but if not I'll simply buy a cheap desktop charger, I have a spare battery lying about which should fit the T630 and will sell it as slightly faulty, hopefully will make a small profit on it.

I had a T630, unfortunately it was lost by a relative, who borrowed it. Son of a gun.

I have just recieved my T630!

Will post a pic or two later, got a couple of things to do. So far the phone is working fine, as was stated the facia is a little untidy but I could possibly get away with selling it as it is, it's not too bad. And more importantly it is so far charging fine, which was stated to bit it's fault.
So I have an ideal start for my experiement, at £12 including delivery.

Absolute bargain.
Would it be worth changing the housing do you think?

Looking at it again I'm wondering now, the screen part seems to have come a little unglued and sticks up a bit, slightly interferes with joystick usage so I might try to find a cheap facia for it!
