the one thing on that video amazes me, it is responsiveness and speed of that device, although I can't stand nothing coming out of Apple I give them a credit for that, it is astonishing!

I'll stay with SE. The iPhone is:
- too big (ok it's thin, but too wide)
- too heavy (my K610 is just over 80g, iPhone 135g)
- no 3G
- no Videocall (yes - I'm using that frequently)
- Cam is not better than the K610
- Display-only, no keys - I prefer tactile feedback (I'm texting mostly blind)
- I would break the display within days, I'm sure!

The UI is phantastic - no discussions, some concepts are really innovative.
Maybe the next generation is more interesting if they add some keys, make it lower in weight and add 3G UMTS and give it a bullet-proof display.

No chance!! I love my P990I that does loads more then the crap-i-phone. I'll give Apple 3 gens to get it right. A user replacable battery would be nice, can ONLY see that as a money making racket idea.

I guess the iphone is an mp3 phone really loads of ipod fans would resort to this phone but i could see it killing the ipod sales sector if people decided to resort to it.

This looks like a pretty smart phone it does most things that an ipod would posses but with a touch screen and phone.

I wouldnt say this would'nt kill se or any other company sales, far from it. Things would remain the same maybe a little drop of sales on other brands but not kills them.

In fact I couldn't opt for one myself as it looks a little bland and large for the pocket and also surplus in the touch screen department. If it had incorporated a nice digital lense then maybe would have considered but thats asking a bit too much for this phone.

I was actually considering getting one for xmas but I started snapping some pictures with my W800 and I realized that I can never go back to a 2MP camera.
Plus I'm not really a business user so I don't need a smart phone.
Also, it is too early to think about what will be on the market by December. Then there's the price tag, etc...

In two words: NO WAY.

Well, there's another aspect that no one seems to have noticed: according to an article that I read today on the Wall Street Journal, the phone initially is ONLY going to be released in the U.S. and on the cingular network. My sister lives in NY and she has a RAZR with cingular so I know for a fact that they brand and lock their handsets big time, so it's gonna be SEVERAL months before anyone outside the U.S. -or a user of any other network, for that matter- has access to the iphone. Yes, I know that someone will figure out a way to unlock it and unbrand it, but let's be realistic: that won't happen overnight.... (Hint: CID 49)
Not to mention that Cisco now wants to sue Apple over the use of the "iphone" name, apparently they were already using that trademark in some of their products and that could slightly delay the launching of the final product.
So I think is just funny that someone is saying that they're going to leave -or ANY brand for that matter- to get an iphone when it hasn't even been released yet, the quality of the product itself is not known and that it could take a loooooooong time before is actually released in their domestic markets.
