No it's not that bad, the pics make it look more difficult than it is.
Then I suppose it depends if you have taken a phone apart before.

he's only using a T6 screwdriver, a SRT6 (a credit card will do!‚ and flat screw driver.
i'd be well up for taking it to bits..
i have done all my other phones!
did my P990i the first day i got it!

Hey Fatreg, I heard you have knackers the size of footballs!!!!
Yes those special tools are very important!
The SRT6's they use are no more than a guitar plectrum!
The Torx drivers most people can buy somewhere, make sure they are good ones.
The SS-57 is a very thin sheet of metal, or you could use a Stanley blade, something thin anyway.
The tweezers, knick your Mrs ones, or Fatreg's! I'm sure none of use them for taking screws out anyway?
Slotted screwdriver I'm sure we can find one of those from somewhere.
Sadly the phone does have to be taken apart as the bottom cover is fixed in a stupid method.
The only bit if your a real fanatic is the Kinky gloves and the anti static band, and I bet none of you use them?

Just rang my nearest Nokia Service centre. They want a tenner to update my fireware to the latest version.
Is it worth doing?
Thanks
