why would we do this step??
we are talking about flashing our phones now cause a new updates for the SEUS are now available.
so what are we going to 'fool'??

if you can get the seus server to update your phone as if it was aworld generic devive then th latest update wud be applied for generic phones.
(example..some people have updated a nokia n80 to n80IE by convincing the nokia update server to reflash the device, you have to change a code on the handset with cracked software to do this,*invalidates warranty*when this is done,)
so if any SE handsets are flashed to world generic they get the latest updates...
somewhere in the transmission of information to the seus there may be key to 'fool' seus..(by replacing the info transmitted from pc to seus....
as i said before this is guesswork based on the logfiles left on pc after updating a non-generic handset.
