thisll help get u started i think...the rokr(or e398@rokr) used java players to handle the music sorting n stuff so did other motorolas(shit system imo very slow in older models). either the standard mp3 player or a corelet(itunes) which could be run on at same time as evrything else to allow it to minimise. obviously wont work the same but if u kno wot ur doin mite b able 2 port 1 of them. thers about 5 i think if u count the corelets.

corelets
light player
integral mp3 player(never tried it but apparently very good
krzr default player

also the phonemanager on that site can handle mp3s and works on my k610i(xcept mp3s dont play) file browser works...

these dont update from the correct directory/cant seem to find any music.
im pretty sure that at http://www.motomodders.com there was a thread on changing the music path of the digital audio player(older version of krzr player) worth having a look around but itll b hard to find as i havnt had my rokr since about 7months ago. on motorolas the tf card was on /b/ where ours(mine neway) is /e/ so maybe thats the only problem...

edit: also imo the walkman players seem to be alright besides the horrible branding and lack of skin support. the 1 in my k610 is pretty similar and i have no problems with it besides the fact that it looks like shit and i also wud like 2 be able 2 have a few equaliser presets that i can save and switch between quickly because the speaker tends to sound better with different settings to the headphones imo. besides that its very responsive works well minimised etc etc...if u make a java 1 u cant minimise and have it playing music at the same time i dont think....

good luck on this

Well... I've tryed to use Digital Audio Player (Moto) on my K510 and it shows the initial screen (M) and later, phone displays "Error in application"...

Others I'll test...

Anyone has tryed to use WinampMobile??

When I open it, it shows the Nullsoft ad, after that phone's screen goes black, and nothing more.. If I press 7 it shows an menu, where i set the mp3 path and nothing more... it stills black... ¿why?

greets!

those players won't work on SE, they are proprietary. They are just examples.

no, all hardware is different. some have smaller screens, some have bigger, some have faster processors, some have slightly different java implementation, etc. This plus the fact the proprietary players are designed for and TESTED only on the phone that the player is intended for. ZERO testing on other handsets is done, and as everyone knows, a good GENERIC java developer test on as many types of handsets as he can. Yes, JAVA is multi-platform, but a java program still has to be tested on a range of devices.

yes but screen size is the least of the potential problems. I tried all the players and none of them work on my k750.

Thanks for mentioning it though, you never know. But in this case it's not much use We need a java progammer on the thread

Its never going to work anyway . K750 doesnt have the mp3 java part and the ones that can get past that (lyricshow + operamini) are slow.
