i have tested n73 and it is so slow. My new k800i for example, is a lot more fast. Ok, it have not a symbian, but the SE OS is one of most complete on the market...the java support i so great that we can use a lot of amazing applications (in standby too!).

simbus may have found it slow because he possibly ha numerous app's running at the same time, and didn't know how to close them....

why have a burger when you can have steak?

The ARM9 cpu on n73 is only a little more fast than the ARM7 (a previous version) on k800i for example. .
But nokia is with the slow Symbian...
Open the camera: how many seconds before the camera is active?
When you open a java app, when you enter in galley mode ecc ecc....n73 is a lot slow compared to k800i, w950... (the first with limited multitasking the second with a symbian UIQ more usable than symbian nokia)...

I currently own the n73 and w850i , trust me the w850i is alot better simply because it doesent argue its fast and hardly any problems in the software , my n73 sits in a box , i would describe the n73 as a hassle to use.

well aldough i don't like saying this ... right now i'd rather buy a n73 than a k800.

except from the camera it rocks ... maybe it's slow but it has a huge screen, you can have lots of apps for it, a much better all-rounder than the k800

N73 is much better than K800/K810/W850 because N73:-

- takes better (more vivid and sharper) day photo.
- takes much better video recording (4 times more pixel). K800/W850/K810 video record is a disgrace.
- screen size that is 40% bigger than K800/K810 in terms or area
- stereo speakers and louder sound.
- much better PIMs like unlimited phonebook, calendar and of course the very useful active today screen.
- independent voice dialing. SE is still using voice tags.
- better blog system which automatic log your activities like sms, image/video taking, notes & calendar entries and later allow you to sync to your PC/blog. SE blog is very basic.
- EDGE support (K800/K810/W850 dont have this)
- video streaming via realplayer (K800/810 dont have this)
- much better multi-tasking (you can have any apps opened instead being restricted to java in K800/810/850)
- much better document handling capability (office docs, flash, pdf). K800 dont have any of this.
- more audio/video format support incl. divx.
- much better web browser (Nokia OSS browser)
- more jazzy gallery/image viewer incl slideshow with music.
- better profile system incl. going to offline mode without rebooting.
- much better theme system - you can change most of the UI unlike SE which is restricted to certain aspect like wallpaper.
- unlimited sms storage
- much cheaper and higher capacity mini-SD memory card
- GPS navigation support like tom tom and the new free smart2go maps app from nokia
- Yahoo Go support
- hava better native Symbian games
- expand functionality with hundreds of add-on applications since it is a SMARTPHONE

but the price? i buy my k800i for 280 euro, new, italian, latest firmware and no-brand... how much for an N73 no brand?
