For those of us in the U.S. the quad-band status of the K550i is a nice upgrade from the K750. I did a side-by-side comparison at PhoneScoop.com and it was enlightening. Trade offs no matter which one you choose.

Hmmm Might pick one of these up sometime soon. As much as I like the K750 (had 3 so far) the design of the K550 is a welcome update

as i seemed to notice, k550 pics are a crap at night..... and i mean it... pure crap....i don't see why they couldn't get a better replacement for the k750 camera than this one....
compared to the k750, this one sucks, big time....

i would say those are nice photos indeed... but still, it doesn't change the fact that the k550 still has very poor quality in night shots....try to notice something about the photos from that post, even those that are excelent photos... check the dark areas, where you will see a cuadriculated pattern.... i don't understand why it does this, but it seems to me that the sensor is interpolating some of the pixels... could someone plz explain to me why the k550 cam sensor does this ? cuz i never saw that on a k750 photo....

check this example of the pattern if you dont understand what i say....

@Evil Eye
why are your pics so blurred? Did you move the cam while taking pics...
anyways nice set of subjects. I particularly liked the one titled 'VGA MODE WITH ZOOM'(sharp one indeed)

@sunils: im with you. the one with zoom seems sharper, like the had optical zoom. maybe he did not focus the objects very well so the pics came out like that. i had many problems trying to focus objects while i had a k550 in my hands. the camera button on the k550 seems to be very easy pushing.
