Unnecessary crap. Instead of 'developing' this, SE should developing a working and fixing fw for their phones, expecially the p990!
It is more to click and read now and that is all. The main functions and purpose is still the same.
By the way, the fist 2 times I got ERROR and then the Detecting... took forever so I had to disconnect the phone. Finally the third time went okay BUT NO new FW anyways ;-(

I also got an error detecting first time and yes, it takes more clicks to do the same thing. actually I clicked the images andsat there waitign assuming it would move on but you actually have to also click the continue as well!
as far as developing this and firmware, I would expect they are two totally different teams so probably no firmware development time has been lost in creating this.

and the sim card, now it's not necessary to take it from the phone?
This was always there.... and the 2 instead of the C button is perhaps phone dependend. With me it still says C button for my p990 !

perhaps the instructions change for each phone? as i noticed the member who posted a few screen shots of this new version has a w880i going by his dispay pic. so when he selected w880, seus knows you cant press 'c' on the w880, so it changes to 2.

Perhaps it has to do with the connector! We had previously to select which connector we have instead of the phone model.
So all this selecting and clicking has replaced this 1 step! What a waste.
By the way, since this updating service updates the fw, it is presumably connected with some people from the fw department

I totally agree with michael, SE tech people should really work hard on their FWs for p990 then wasting time in making these service updates. whats the point of having this without a good FW. I would also request SE to hire a good English professor / communication specialist for checking the interface language. Even i can write better English then SE
. Hope SE guys have checked a N95. I hate Nokia but I have to admit this N95 is good.
