Actually, the W810 have one advantage. It's moddable, so you can get rid of the hissing. Something you can't do yet on the W610.

W610 hisses too? My God! So SE stays true to the walkman tradition, the HissŪ..!

Yeah, I was quite disappointed about that too... This is my first Walkman phone, and I've never heard about the hissing issue until I experienced it first hand.

Except for...

Price.

Currently available memory card capacity.

Memory card price vs. capacity.

Fastport on bottom - able to use HCH-61/60, CDS-60/65, MRC-60.

Firmware maturity.

Keypad usability!!!

Feeling in hand.

Camera (picture) quality.

And since both lack AVRCP, the W610's A2DP is almost pointless.

Actually, I payed about 17$ less for my W610i than I would have done for the W810i. And I prefer the W610i keypad... it kind of feels lighter to use and you won't press multiple buttons down by mistake. And the fastport on the side is actually an advantage when you got the phone in your pocket.

Every US/Canada vendor on the Web charges about $25-$50 more for the W610 over the W810.

The W610 keypad is only advantages for those who press hard with long, sharp fingernails to type. If you're a man - not Paris Hilton, not an 800 lb. gorilla - the W810's keypad is vastly more usable.

It's been debated that the side-mounted Fastport is actually worse in a pocket... And again, what about all those wonderful desktop and car accessories? The MRC-60 is a jem.

Atleast I prefer the W610i. And the W610i is slimmer too, so thats imo a huge advantage over W810i.

so.. Ipod> SE walkman phones in just the interface, format and stuff...

so how bout sound quality?

also.. isit worth it trade functions for better sound quality. not trying to be wet blanket, but nokia phones or at least the N and E series have so much more stuff, as in Wi-Fi and all. SE phones are more like style, or at least in my opinion. hence, wat do i do now? nah, im not a rich kid... all i wanna do is to get a phone that:

gives me quality music
nice interface
big nice screen
not bad camera like at least 2.0mp

and most importantly, looks nice and not going be kicked out the market in the next few months. for e.g. n70 is like already old old. ( so is my nokia 6280) lol...

comments guys?
