. . .
So I would say SE's white paper if only fit for one purpose, cut it up and hang it next to the toilet!!!

Then I'd to print it first and the ink to my Canon IP5000 printer is very expensive. That would make it very expensive TP. Unless you're talking about reading material while trying to squeeze out all that low-fibre food . . .

what firmware do you have??? i am now owner of a 4gb sandisk and donīt notice any particular change from my former sony highspeed 2gb

I second that, my 4gb sandisk works like a charm too, although I would have to reiterate again that I don't think Sony MS is as problem free as Sandisk in my opinion. From my experience, Sony memory stick has higher error rate and this might very well be a factor influencing its compatibility with P990. Has anyone tried an 8gb Sandisk MS then?

@eaniban:
I'm getting the same behaviour with my 4GB SanDisk. However, I think it's the media player's fault, since it started to happen with my old Sony after wiped my music dir. I guess a master reset could solve it, but for me, it's not worth the hassle, I'll just wait for the next firmware, or a worse issue

The memory format used in memory card for nokia phones is fat32.
the maximum size in fat 32 is 2gb......

So you wont be able to use more than 2gb card in nokia phones unless they decide to change it..

. . .

Actually FAT32 has higher limits. Maximum file size is 4 GB while maximum filesystem size (i.e. one partition, disk or memory stick) is 8 TB. (Source.)

This is indeed a very good day for me and all P990 owners who would one day want to use their device's external storage to the fullest. I can say beyond reasonable doubt that not only is the 8gb msdp compatible with our phones, the performance is also at par with your current 1,2,4gb msdp's. I had the opportunity to try it on my P990, I will soon post a video and picture that was taken and saved on the 8gb msdp!

Check the current P990i user guide. Technical data on page 64 lists 8 GB as the maximum supported.

@AbuBasim,

That is the reason I am saying it is daylight robbery if 4GB is the maximum supported capacity. If 8GB is not correct then SE should have revised the figure long ago.

@BBS: Looks like @mode had better luck than you. So again your stick was probably DOA.
