Works great! Just called my parents who went abroad on holiday using skype out. Now I don't give my beautiful P990 for a triple price. A true all in one device. Calmly and cheerfully I am waiting for a P990 successor in 2008. Very happy.

Wow!! thanks to Fling to create such great application. But this should come as standard feature on the P990... well... to much to ask to SE. I think the way SE moves this would be integrated probably on the later successor of P1... and bug free after 2 generations more.
Works fine, but sometimes the voice breaks down a little, when doing calls using SkypeOut.
Let's see if it still works after the next firmware release. In the meantime lets enjoy it.

Am just about to install fring.. but the website says i must have FW version R6D23..
Now i look on my phone and it says phone software ver. R7A001 and PDA software R3B01..
So R7 for phone seems to be more up to date, R3 for PDA seems ver out of date.
I have never done an update as i never had a problem (i don't fix what ain't broke!)
My question. Do i need to update, and if so is there a downside? Specifically i worry that mp3 volume can be reduced, am sure i have read that about certain FW updates.. I use my phone as an MP3 play a lot of the time.

I have a feeling that the reason I got that message is because out network provider here blocks voip service...

Fring is great especially with SIP Gizmo. Anyone got problem with connection using bluetooth headset. Mine cuts off after 1 rings . No problem without bluetooth headset.
