can you write a sms with one hand using virtual keybord? NO! can you write sms handwriting recognition with one hand? NO!
thats why it would be god with something like T9, when you whant to write a sms when using the phone as a phone and not a pda.

I see the point, but to me the answer seems to be get another phone... if you don't want pda functions, or you are not going to use them, is the P800 really the right phone for you?
This is my _opinion_ for those of you out there that have failed to realise this, it might even be classed my _advice_

If you pay for a PDA/Phone you'd expect to be able to use it as an either or situation, not just using both at the same time, I think the one handed question is a fair one, what if he's sending and receivind dirty txt's and needs one hand free....... just kidding but what about driving, or standing up on the tube etc. one handed txting always comes in handy (handy... get it!?) poor i know

There was actually an interesting interview a while back (can't remember where, sorry) with one of the sony head honcho's talking about all the accessories that would come with something like the p800. Keyboards were one of them, maybe a small bluetooth keyboard would solve all the problems...

as one person said in another thred here, if i standing in a buss or something, i maby not able to use both hand, then i have to use one hand and then it would be nice with T9. But ofcourse will i use virual keybord IF i able to use both hands (sitting down or standing still on ground), but if i´m standing on a bus that are moving, i will not be able to stand still and need to use one hand to hold in something or i will fall! so you are right!

it wasn´t a pen? that have bluetooth and was sending the text to the phone?

A few days ago I read something in the paper about a new device which projects a keyboard on the table. I knew this device was going to me made, but it said it would also be made for Phone's and PDA's, so i think also for the P800. It realy looks cool, and would only cost something like € 35,-
