Hi,

Every time I try to install it I get your pc needs to restart for changes to take effect before I can install it. This happens everytime even after I have restarted my pc. If I click no the setup exits.

Any ideas anyone

I have the same problem too, and no item available in control panel to deinstall the package ! The only solution found is to reinstall the old 1.3.11 ...

I have managed to install it. Save the setup program to desktop. Right click on the setup icon click on unblock then apply. Make sure UAC is on. Then disable firewall, antivirus, anti spy etc. Then I installed it with no problem.

Unblock What? What is UAC? I have WinXP and the same crappy error! This SE suck even more every day.

So, HOW can this new version be installed on WinXP pro SP2 ? I have all those error things as described here!

If you are running xp you probably only need to unblock the file.

On the installation icon right click, scroll down to properties and tick. At th ebottom of the window that has opened you will see this file has come from another computer and has been blocked for safety. There is a box next to this with unblock. Click on this and then click apply.

The other thing that might stop it installing is windowblinds. If you have this installed disable it.

I'm not running xp so I'm sorry I can't help more.

I managed to install the PC Suite after de-blocking the setup. However, I can not seem to get connected to my P990.
The m-router application says i'm connected. (USB - MCCI (sony ericsson mobilie communication...)
But when I open my PC Suite application, I always get the message that there is no phone connected. I already tried using the connection wizard, but still no luck. I saw in my hardware list, that my P990 is using COM ports 8 and 9. maybe i need to unblock them one way or another??
I already tried finding a solution in my Mcafee suite, but didn't find anything.
Do/did any of you guys have the same problem and know a way out for me to get my P990 connected to the pc suite?

unlbock W H A T ???? I have no unblock anything! I have WinXP Pro SP2 and no nothing else!

What I have also done is extracted the exe with winrar and found there are 2 exe installations in there... one 32 and one 64 bit.

So I ran now the 32 bit exe directly and voila, the program installed perfectly.

Meaning anybody with the problem that it won't install, not appear in add/delete programs in control panel and/or just wants to restart the computer .... try the way to open this install/exe with winrar and run the suite32.exe directly!
