don't know how you can say o2 are rubbish when they are the biggest network in the UK in terms of customer's ahead of vodafone and 3 have came out right at the botton. When i had 3, i kept getting dropped calls wherever I go, and they swapped my sim and my handset 2 occasions still problems with them. and they don't do non itemised billing which is so silly. @ missuk i would check the coverage urself by getting a 3 sim, instead of relying on the word of 3 direct.

Been with every network. O2 are rubbish, vodafone okay, orange good, t-mobile great and three excellent! Three are the way to go. Foreign call centre's but very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
