My music taste has changed bigtime due to this or is it
just down to getting older
btw I used to like HARDCORE (Scouse House as Fatreg names it)
now I can't stand the crap, it sounds too childish and pathetic, every song sound the same has that annoying "Bang Bang" sound
I still enjoy Trance Music and House!!!!
ive started listening more to Indie stuff something I wouldn't have years ago
Radio 1 all the way for me!
Ps, Yes I hate R'&B and Hip Hop still too lmao!

What i don't understand is how ANYONE can say that a song/music genre is Boring/Pointless/crap, at the end of of the day music is PERSONAL CHOICE so how can you say its rubbish? No one makes you listen to it, if you don't like it don't buy it, don't download it and if its on the radio then either switch stations or simply turn it off. Would you rather everyone express themselves as they wish or we go back to the day of communism?

Thats quite a narrow minded view of hiphop.
I like most genres of music ranging from rock and indie through to breakbeat, hiphop and drum n bass.
In every genre there is some shit, take for example HipHop, if you dont know much about the genre and all you know is 50cent then you will think its shit but if you look deeper and do some research you can come accross artists such as MosDef, Common, Talib Kweli, Lupe Fiasco who write songs that dont mention sex, drugs etc
I dont think music is in decline i just think you have to look harder for the good stuff as the market is being flooded with all the commercial chart pop and rnb

And its where I am for the past couple of years. Yeah I listen to the occasional 70's 80's 90's but one thing I havent done is tune into terestrial radio ie Kiss, Radio 1 the last time I tuned into the radio was 2000, a good 8 years ago.
Its been pretty much internet radio all the way.. DI.FM and a couple of others that have come and gone sadly.
