I know for a fact and tried so many times with a lot of Symbian phones that if you keep apps open, they will drain your battery fast. Of course, 7 hours is no good but there is a good chance that your battery is fine but due to heavy usage and lots of opened apps your battery went flat. I NEVER used a Symbian phone that can last more than a day and a half wit constant e-mail and internet usage. And i've used p910i, m600i and p990i.So be happy if your battery lasts you a full day.

i have all apps open, i run bb connect and receive/send about 100 emails a day (work), pim use and a good few calls, 3G off.
mine lasts at least a day and a half during the week.
battery lasted from friday 8am all the way until about midnight last night so im very impressed.
if it is an app draining your battery it must be something user installed.

I definitely noticed that when you are in a weak 3G signal area you should definitely not use "3g or GSM" mode. The phone will keep on trying to check for strongest signal of the two and the battery goes down really quick.

actually a more complete advice would be to pull the battery for some seconds and then replace it and turn on

Yeah... Or for wired devices "unplug from mains and count to five, then plug in again"
!!
