I've thought that bt info was designed for

phones. You can use all its features on a

phone. Despite other phones like the ones you mentioned, bogdan.
bt info is for all phones, but SE happen to have better support for the ftp bt profile, so it turns out that it works mostly on SE phones.

@max: have u ever tried any of the following scenarios, if yes, could u tell me in which of them the sending phone sees the phone number of the receiving phone.
many thx
Case 1: ) phone 1 tries to beam a file to phone 2 (phones are paired). Phone 2 accepts the transfer.
Case 2: ) phone 1 tries to beam a file to phone 2 (phones are paired). Phone 2 does NOT accept the transfer.
Case 3: ) phone 1 tries to beam a file to phone 2 (phones are NOT paired). Phone 2 accepts the transfer.
Case 4: ) phone 1 tries to beam a file to phone 2 (phones are NOT paired). Phone 2 does NOT accept the transfer.
Background:
I am designing a BT advertising stand, when sb presses the button, the stand (the BT phone hidden in the stand) will try to send the person a video clip. In case the BT transfer fails, I want the stand to instead send the person a MMS containing the video. Of course, for sending MMS the BT application on the phone needs to have acquired the phone number of the person during the failed BT transfer (assuming that the transfer failed because of another reason and not because the person did not have his phone's BT turned on.)
