after my case modding, i have not added another scratch on my lens since then! seems its indeed effective. well, i will not "sacrifice" my chassis for nothing anyway lol. i bought some really cool "H&K" (thats the brand commonly available here) protective film for my screen and together with my modded back, it seems that i'm not having anymore "scratchy" problems. just to be cautious, my precious W810i stays "real alone" in my pocket (no coins, keys, whatever...).
im planning to give this to my 12-year old daughter in due time when i upgrade so i better take care of it...
yeah baby, Walkman rocks and i love my W810i!!!

Congratulations! Glad your mod has solved your problem. I'm not too worried about the scratches on my camera lens as it has not affected picture quality so far.
