I read that if you update the software on an unlocked iphone,you`re going to have a very expensive brick.

That is not what is being said at all what has been said is that it is not advisable to upgrade as the the things that worked before may no longer be possible. So the advice is just not to update further the 1.02.
The worst that can happen if you do update is that you may not be able to unlock or do any of the other wonderful things that can be done any longer. That really is the only risk although it is a biggie if you wish to customise or unlock your iPhone.
Personally if i had a fully cracked 1.02 there is no way i would consider upgrading. In fact if the 1.11 does what people fear i would seek out a 1.02 version iPhone and not consider a 1.11 but it all depends what each user wants or needs and how comfortable or not they are hacking this device.
Now a plug for this sale as it already comes unlocked and is a version 1.02 it gives you a huge potential for customizing your device and it is very likely newer devices with 1.11 will mean you can no longer do this is, if you really want a iPhone now really is the time to get one IMO.

Will be making a new order next week, so if you want in on it get in touch soon, as the stock of Unlocked iPhones is running thin, and soon you will only be able to by New FW Iphones which as of yet can't be unlocked.
The price of the unlocked ones is about to go up as panic buying on Ebay etc starts, with the announcement that the UK version is going to have the new FW.
Price Stands, £350 delivered.
