@Alexandra
What's wrong with the JP-8 platform?
At the end of the day, it's going to actually have a positive impact on usability.
For example the confirm button in the contacts list will now open a contact instead of calling, which will save time when using the phone:
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
Mary Jane
0429xxxxxx
------------------------
------------------------
Options___Open____Back
Instead of this:
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
------------------------
Mary Jane
0429xxxxxx
------------------------
------------------------
Call______________More
And also the benefit of having an end key means that you can very quickly return to the home screen, instead of holding down back.

Yup, personally i like this interface better as well. For example, when you wanna check a contact's email address without actually sending an email. On most SE phones, the only way to see the address in full is to do More, move to the 2nd tab, and highlight the email address.
With the "Open" button, you can see a summary of the contact's information, i find that quite practical.
Think there's nothing wrong with that interface, and that's gonna be the future of SE phones, anyway, whether we like it or not.
